He absolutely captivates me every time!

Watched all eleven parts, have commented on a few…loved this because I have only just watched Sea Wall the film on UA-cam in June 2024! For those who commented ten years ago, I hope they have all caught up with the latest developments of Andrew’s career…he has done Hamlet! And a one man version of Anya written by Simon. 🐑🐑🇳🇿🇳🇿NZ

This interview is wonderful…and the mirroring of body language between these two…the humour, the laughter, the active listening…I feel like I’m an eavesdropping! Hah and here am I watching these interview parts on my iPad with AirPods here in Christchurch, New Zealand in June 2024!🐑🐑🇳🇿🇳🇿

For me, it’s not religion but spirituality that is being discussed. After suffering the sudden accidental death of Lucy, it made sense to wonder about ‘God’…and I liked how it was spoken about by Alex (and ultimately by Simon). 🐑🐑🇳🇿🇳🇿NZ

The sad stuff, yes, I have made the mistake of rethinking about this play (having watched the filmed version a few days ago) and TV, film, like One Day, Fellow Strangers, and All of Us Strangers …in June 2024…because their emotional content is so intense and stories have sad endings, and are so authentically acted. 🐑🐑🇳🇿🇳🇿NZ

Is there a parallel…I am a social worker, have been for 31 years, but before I had a child, now a young adult, did that prevent me from working with parents and children? No, it didn’t. I agree with Andrew’s comment about empathy. He is also big on the theme of love that runs through the stories and plays he has acted in. That is a universal emotion and can be acted out in so many different ways, storylines, and so forth. This is what makes Andrew Scott stand apart as an actor (who in 2024) is growing in regard by those who have seen his live or filmed work. 🐑🐑🇳🇿🇳🇿NZ

Ah …so Andrew has been using the adjective ‘extraordinary’ for well over a decade…still using it in June 2024! Loved Sea Wall which I have only just seen on YT. I will revisit it because it is so beautifully written and acted. 🐑🐑🇳🇿🇳🇿NZ

He’s absolutely mesmerising. You can’t take your eyes off of him, the emotion he channels through his facial expressions.. You turn the volume up because you need to hear every word he has to say, every waver of emotion in his voice… The only thing I wish is that I hadn’t watched this on a Sunday morning when I know it’s undoubtedly going to occupy my mind for days. Thank you Andrew Scott for everything you do, a true artistic genius of the last two decades ❤

This is a gift. It’s Andrew’s little snorts and snuffles when he laughs at himself….and you get to the end and I’m lost for words. Andrew Scott’s emotional intelligence is off the scale. Praise to writer and actor. I’ll watch it again. 🐑🐑🇳🇿🇳🇿NZ
